Juan is an undergraduate student from Beijing University of Technology and she has joined the Quantum Optics Group for 11 weeks from June to September 2008. She is funded through Science Foundation Ireland's UREKA site programme at Tyndall National Institute and is working on the characteristics of light scattered off tapered optical fibres.
