  5. WizzAir
  • The most common carriers are 1 and 2. AerLingus also offer flights through British Airways and other allied carriers.
  • The main gateway airports with daily connections to Cork are London (Heathrow,Stansted or Gatwick), Amsterdam and Paris (CDG).
  • Dublin is not connected to Cork by air anymore, but you can take the train from Dublin to Cork (see below).
  • Cork airport is located approximately 6 km away from UCC. You can travel by taxi or bus, both of which leave right outside the terminal building. Taxis are approximately 12 - 18.
  • Bus route 226/226A serves the city centre; the timetable for weekdays and Sundays are slightly different. Note: Buses go to the city centre (to Parnell Place, not far from Patrick's Street) and do not take a route along UCC and the main places of accommodation. Therefore, we recommend taking a taxi.

From Dublin

From Dublin airport you can take a Dublin City Bus to Heuston station ( 6, ca. 30 min). At Heuston station you then take a train to Cork Kent station (ca. 2.5 hours). Bus route 205 brings you from the Cork station into the city center and also to UCC. You can of course also take a taxi from the Cork station. An intercity bus (<30, ca. 3 hours) is also available from Dublin Airport to Cork city center (to Parnell place).
