Redmond Halahan

I am working on a Master's project focusing on the first multi-wavelength study of AGN at 18-22cm. VLBI polarization observations at wavelengths near 18cm can provide high resolution along and across the extended jet structures, together with high sensitivity to the jet emission. My analysis has revealed some jet structures extending over a hundred parsec from the VLBI core, as well as new evidence for helical magnetic fields on decaparsec scales.
